About Donnie

I believe people are the most interesting stories in the world.

I’m Donnie Jacob, a photographer, filmmaker, and storyteller based in Orange County, California. I spend my days walking up to strangers, asking questions, taking portraits, and turning fleeting moments into stories people actually want to stop and watch.

What started as a camera and a curiosity about people has grown into a community of more than 250,000 followers and over 60 million views across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

A large part of my work has taken place within the world of Disney, where I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with The Walt Disney Company, D23, Disney+, and Disney Cruise Line to create original photography, video, and social content that celebrates the people behind the magic.

That work has also given me the opportunity to photograph and collaborate with a wide range of talent, including Milo Manheim, Malachi Barton, Freya Skye, Kylie Cantrall, Frankie Muniz, and Ariel Winter, to name a few.

Most recently, I was brought on by the D23 team to create original content for D23 2026. The campaign generated more than 2.5 million cross-platform views, 231,000+ engagements, and 40,000+ shares. View here.

But numbers are only part of the story.

I care about creating work that makes people feel something. Something that makes you smile, reminds you of someone, sparks a memory, or makes you stop scrolling for just a little longer.

I don’t believe everything needs to be perfectly polished to be powerful. Sometimes the best stories are the ones you stumble into.
